Basic Operations
Measurement
- Place instrument on surface to be measured
- Press the button on the measuring head or the centre button on the instrument body to take a reading
- The measured gloss value will
be displayed on the screen
Calibration
Flex 60 calibration
- Remove the measurement adaptor
- Select GU value calibration tile. Remove the cover, ensure the tile is clean and undamaged.
- Replace the cover on the calibration tile and attach to the measurement head.
- Ensure the tile is clean and undamaged.
- Place the instrument on the tile.
- Calibrate instrument. Navigate to: MENU > CALIBRATION MENU > CALIBRATE INSTRUMENT
Ensure that Calibrate to : GU is selected. - Press the measurement button to calibrate and select ‘CONFIRM’ once complete.
- Remove calibration tile and repeat from step 2 using the Guh (low gloss) calibration tile.
Ensure that Calibrate to : GUh is selected. - Remove calibration tile, add measurement adaptor.
Your instrument is now ready to use.
Flex 60-X calibration
- Ensure the tile is clean and undamaged.
- Place the instrument on the tile.
- Calibrate instrument. Navigate to: MENU > CALIBRATION MENU > CALIBRATE INSTRUMENT
- Press the measurement button to calibrate and select ‘CONFIRM’ once complete.
- Your instrument is calibrated and ready for use.
RECALIBRATION
Rhopoint recommend that the Rhopoint Flex 60 should be regularly serviced and calibrated. This will ensure reliable, accurate and consistent measurements are given.

Screen Navigation
Quick Report App Connection
- Open the Rhopoint Quick Report App in Google Chrome or on a compatible mobile device
- On the instrument, ensure Bluetooth is switched on and set the BT mode to DATA
- In the app, press the pairing/link button in the top right-hand corner
- Select Connect from the drop-down menu
- Select the instrument from the available devices
- When the connection button turns green, the instrument is connected and the app is ready to receive measurements
- Take measurements on the instrument *
- Received readings will be displayed in the app for review and reporting

The Quick Report App is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS; it can be run in Google Chrome or installed on a compatible device. On first connection, users are prompted to register and activate the included app subscription.
