Gloss, haze, DOI & opacity
These instruments measure reflected appearance on opaque or coated surfaces, including glossmeters and Rhopoint IQ meters that quantify gloss, haze and image quality in line with international standards. They are used for routine control of coatings, plastics, metals, wood, paper and many other finishes.​
Transparency measurement
Transparency instruments, such as the Rhopoint ID range, quantify the see‑through qualities of films, bottles and other transparent materials, including haze, sharpness, clarity and visible transmittance. They are designed to correlate closely with visual perception and can be supplied as benchtop or inline systems for packaging and optical applications.​
Surface & appearance analysis
Advanced appearance systems provide image‑based analysis of premium surfaces, capturing texture, orange peel, waviness, defects and other features that standard glossmeters cannot detect. Solutions such as Aesthetix and TAMS are used where visual perfection and brand differentiation are critical, for example in automotive, consumer electronics and high‑end coatings.
